Stop doing whatever it is that you are doing, and do turnip fries. For the following reasons:
- Turnip is in season.
- Turnip is cheap.
- Everybody loves fries.
- (Sweet) potato fries are so yesterday.
- No need to deep-fry.
- You love fries.
- Turnip fries taste damn good.
1 large turnip
Heat the oven to 225 degrees. Cut the turnip in frie-look-a-like blocks. Spread the blocks on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with paprika and salt. Bake for 20 mins until crispy.
It screams for a burger, doesn’t it?
